Rich Lewis is an author, speaker, and coach who focuses on centering prayer as a means of inner transformation. He teaches centering prayer in both his local and virtual communities and offers one-on-one coaching. His Book, Sitting with God: A Journey to Your True Self Through Centering Prayer, is available on Amazon and has a chapter on true self, which we touched on in our conversation. This term of centering prayer was new to me, but the idea behind it felt familiar. I find it compelling. Especially because the practice of centering prayer, which entails sitting in silence, and calming the mind, has proven to be a great tool for me in my life. I feel like it allows me to have deeper, more meaningful moments throughout the day. It also gives me more of a buffer, say maybe 3 seconds or so, to not be so reactive and triggered. Those are my experiences. To hear from Rich himself, listen in and as always enjoy!

The Four Hour Work Week –
Over the last year, I feel that the conversations and guests we’ve had on the show point to an internal drive to seek the truth. It sounds so esoteric to say that there is deeper energy flowing through all of us, connecting all of us. The fact is, when I connect with these folks on the podcast, I continue to work through the interaction throughout the week. There is so much to learn from the stories of others, and I truly believe there is some “thing” out there, whether you call it consciousness, energy, the universe, or god, whatever it is, somehow connects us. This podcast is proof of that connection.
